An average of 20 veterans commit suicide each day—a statistic that weighs on the mind of Rich Murphy. Murphy, 38, is executive director of Veterans to Farmers, an organization he joined after suffering a devastating injury and bout with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in December 2007.
