New Drug Offers Relief for Severe Migraines

Migraines are notoriously misunderstood, and as a result, difficult to treat. However, a new study may offer relief for those who were failed by other treatments. A drug called erenumab was found to reduce the average number of migraines by 50 percent or more. The study will be presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s 70th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles later this month, a press release stated. In the research, the scientists recruited 246 volunteers who were prone to episodic migraines.
